In 2009 brian cork Human Capital™ launched it's "Accelerator" initiative.

 

The program is called Gare du Nord: Accelerator.

 

This is loosely translated as "the Northern Gate".  And, it also means: "We make our stand here"!

 

The Accelerator's Mission Statement is to enable our portfolio companies to achieve self sufficiency within eighteen (18) months.

 

Points of Acceleration will include:

 

• Coaching Founders and Management Teams;

• Vision vetting;

• Business Plan Development;

• First and second round capital formation through an investor network that includes Angels,

   Execs-with-Checks /1, Family Groups,  Syndicate Groups, Mezzanine Partners and Venture

   Capital;

• Cost effective software (and related) development with select Strategic Partners;

• Test-Bed opportunities with clients of brian cork Human Capital and Strategic Partners;

• New Customer Development (likely Clients and Strategic Partners of brian cork Human Capital).

"In 2009 Brian rolled-out his highly anticipated "Accelerator" program where he is actively involved around incubating several disruptive technology (client) companies in the Atlanta market. In each case Brian has facilitated first-round investments, recruited best-of-class candidates, and is actively involved in establishing new business development through his network and broad range of client companies and strategic partners."

 

The primary objective of the Accelerator is for brian cork /2 to leverage our network of Investors, Professionals and Strategic Partners, and enable select startup technology and other companies that need people, capital and new business.

 

A typical scenario includes guiding startup leadership through corporate formation, vision development, capital formation, product development, human capital development, beta-testing, and new customer development.

 

Program Update:

 

The program is currently under test with two companies. Both companies received first rounds of funding. One with "smart" or strategic partner capital, and the other with an Exec-with-Check. With the first round of capital secured, both companies have been able to develop commercially viable products. The second company recently secured a significant second round of funding, and is currently developing it's go-to-market strategy.

1/ brian cork Human Capital and related companies ("The Company") and personnel are not registered brokers or a broker-dealer. This means the Company can't and won't accept commissions or fees for assisting companies with capital formation (raising money). Our primary objective in facilitating capital formation is to build our future clients and establish a long-term relationship and partnership with them. The only exception to this rule s Execs-with-Checks ("EwC"). Our core business is obviously Executive Search and Recruiting. Even though EwC's are investors, this type of effort falls under Search and Recruiting. The flat-fee for any EwC placement is twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00). There is no exception to this; it's Standard Operating Procedure; and, all parties are aware of this requirement.
